Color is an interesting thing, and I did play with the monochrome reds and browns and blacks and blues, I did experiment with "light" layers and "opaque" shadows, my palette is still missing so I confess those textured lumps are actually where I placed my paints. I like this piece a lot, and I will always wish to look at it for some time, without a brush and turpentine though, I think!
